ISO
Having engaged with Malcolm Seaton to internally audit and help improve our ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management system, the logical progression was to use him to help implement ISO 27001 which was a key requirement for Omni and its clients. We used the Hawkstone Consulting ISO 27001 spreadsheet based system which contains all the necessary process flows, KPIs, risk register, Statement of Applicability and the internal audit checklists.
TIME FRAME
Over a period of around 5 months in 2019, we implemented all the ISO 27001 requirements and carried out a full set of internal audits using the Hawkstone Consulting spreadsheet system.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Since our recruitment processes and systems are fully IT based, it was essential to have a computer based ISO 27001 management system which was easy to access and use within the office and remotely. Hence, the Hawkstone Consulting ISO 27001 system was an ideal solution.
OUTCOMES
We successfully achieved ISO 27001 certification within 6 months of starting the implementation of the system, without any nonconformities being identified by the UKAS accredited Certification Body. We have since undergone a satisfactory surveillance visit in 2020 without nonconformity. We also measure our own level of information security compliance using the internal audit system which is integral within the spreadsheet system and consistently achieve in excess of 95% compliance.
